Walsh winter essentials ad

The first saturday of July saw Walsh’s Homevalue host an open day to the public whereby customers could come in and talk to a range of experts which were present in store on the day. The day was a great success with special offers prominent throughout the store on the day, prize giveaways capturing the attention of all, both young and old, and also special guests in attentance for the day being Din’s Bouncing Castles, and Roxy the Dulux Dog. Customers to the shop that day were treated to light refreshments and of course there was plenty of sweets to keep even the most demanding of children happy.

Throughout the day it was clearly evident that our TEC-7 expert in store on the day was in demand giving hours of practical demonstrations and information to all whom inquired.  Joule Energy Solutions also spent the day giving advice and recommendations on more environmentally and cost-effective ways in which to heat your home. Paslode also provided an interest to many of the trade persons who frequent the store regularly with the Paslode representative giving practical demonstrations of their tools in action. Din’s Bouncing Castles provided a fun distraction for children whom turned up on the day and no child could be found without a smile on their faces after some time spent bouncing around to their hearts content as their guardians enjoyed the open day offers inside.

The real success story of the day had to be Roxy the Dulux Dog showing up to have her photo taken with the children and sometimes even the adults. Roxy was shy at first but after a few photos and hugs from the children who came to see her, she was only delighted to pose for the camera. Walsh’s Homevalue provided a photographer onsite, Daniel Jordan, who took photographs of the children with Roxy on the day which could be collected the following Saturday by the children. Roxy was so happy with taking photographs with all the children that she has hinted she may be back soon again to take some more!
